U know it was my first diwali this time... first time I would see the rangolis... and the diyas... and the crackers... and I had a blast too... and I had a lot of fun... Got so many gifts from mom-dad, massi, nani everyone gave gifts...
On Monday my bua, uncleji and bhaiya didi came and I saw them burning crackers and liked it... I was not at all scared of them as my mom was fearing... I loved the sparkles... the flower pots, the chakris and the roman candles... I would see them... laugh and when they stop cry for more :) the only crackers that irritated me and I got scared of was those long laddis... they kept brusting on and on and on....
Mom and dadi and kala did made rangolis and I wanted to crawl upto them and catch them but no one let me do that... in the evening all of them lighted lovely looking lights also but I was not allowed to touch anything and I got very angry
And I had a lot of fun attending parties that mom-dad went to... I decided that I want to have fun and sleeping is no good... so the first day I slept at 10:30 and the second day I decided I still missed some fun... so I slept only when we all left from the party and that was at about 12 in the night... interesting isnt it and I didnt even had mom dad trying to put me to sleep everyday by 8:30...
U know I wore a lovely b;use color sherwani that nani had sent... mom thought I looked like a prince only...
I had a lot of fun and I am sad that its over and mamma is worried now because i am having some allergy on my face and cough also... I hope I get fine soon else my mumma will be very worried :)

It all aboout 'S'
'S' as in stubborn
'S' as in sleep
'S' as in standing independently
'S' as in smartness
'S' as in Spiderman
So let me explain one by one...
'S' as in standing independently ... he is finally standing independently... not for long yet... for a minute or so and then either sits dham kar ke or just lunges towards the person in front... and he looks so cute doing this... currently there are bets happening in the house on when will he start walking now :)
'S' as in Sleep... Sleep has always been on our enemy u know... There were days before when we didnt sleep at all... and there are days like this nowadays too... he will be rubbing his eyes, yawing, pulling his hair and ears but the minute u take him to the room to put him to sleep and thak he will start screaming on the top of his voice as if we have hit him... and then we have to bring him back to play and he will play with renewed energy as crying gave back all his energy to him and then after some time the yawns etc will start again and then the room and then the cries.. it usually takes abt 3 such cycles for him to go to sleep... quite a task... phew!!!
'S' as in stubborn... I think this is the most difficult... he is becoming so stubborn at this age that sometimes i fear how will I deal with him when he grows up a little... take away from him anything that he wants and see the result... shouts screams what not and that continues till u either give him what he wants or take him out of the house and this guy doesnt even forget man...what he wants he wants when he wants....I really dont know how to deal with this...
'S' as in smartness... here I can proudly say that m y son has outdone all of us at the house :)... we sometimes wonder how do kids have so much brain in such a small head... U do things twice in front of him and he usually picks them up... sometimes we wont even teach him he will just pick it up as we'll be doing it... the other day I was doing that tasty gesture pach pach... and after some I see him repeating it... We had installed gates on our staircase and he has figured out from where to open it and if u are carrying him near the gate this guy will promptly meddle with the bolt and yesterday he managed to open it too... He knows from where the main gate opens... and if u say bye to him he knows that u are going to go out from the main door and phatak se crawls at 100kmph towards it... he knows that if me and hubby have picked up our laptop bags then its time for us to go out and there starts his screams :) someone has to take him out... he has to say bye to us and then he will come back peacefully inside...
Last but not the least 'S' as in Spiderman... he has been named spidey in our house... reason he loves to climb.... anywhere and everywhere... u have read how he loves to climb the stairs and on car... now he has taken the activity further... he can climb on our sofa, the teapoy, our bed and he even tries to climb on the wall and the fridge.... there are times when we catch him mid air because he is trying to place his feet and hands on the flat wall and trying to climb up just like spiderman... crazy little one I have :)

Perfect Timing
Ojas usually sleeps through the night... sleeps at about 9 and gets up at 6 am for milk... has his milk and sleeps again till about 7 or 7:30... sometimes once in a while he gets up at about 2am but then u pick him up and he sleeps again...
Friday being Karwachauth, hubby decided to take me out for a romantic dinner.. we saw the chand did all the rituals... I eat something little... put Ojas to sleep and thought we will get going along with him... but my mil said anyways he sleeps thru.. u leave him and go... made perfect sense right? So off we went leaving sleeping Ojas with dadi and Massi for a nice romantic dinner after the fasting....
But wait Ojas has different plans.... as soon as we sat on the table, the food came... there was a call from home too that he has got up and is crying like crazy... the romantic dinner became just throwing food inside and rushing back home... just to find him sleeping again :( he had just slept when we reached...
perfect timings isnt it ;-)

I can lie down now yippe.... Yes this is about lying down... how much ever funny it may sound but my nonu tonu didnt know how to lie down from sitting till some 3 days back... He could sit from lying down... do ulta pulta... stand up to pulling... go on all fours...crawl... cruise... and even climb things but he didnt know how to lie down from sitting... isnt it funny? he would cry when he gets tried and when we make him lie down he will be happy... everyone who hears that was amused... but finally he got around to do it couple of days back and know that is all he does :) every few minutes of playing he will lie down once... look around.. and then get up and play again....

Eating Out
This weekend was the first time we took Ojas out with us to a restaurant for a dinner... We usually put him to sleep at about 9 pm and then leave the house as my maid used to be there to guard him just incase he gets up... This weekend the maid not being there and we two also being so frustrated because of maid search... we thought what the hell... he will anyways sleep in the car so lets start at the time he sleeps usually and get going... so at around 8:30 we started for dinner to a place which was a good 40 minute drive from our house, as predicted he slept in about 10 mins of the drive but what came next was a surprise... the minute the car stopped he got up and was in such a happy mood... I think he enjoyed the outing more than anyone else... he wanted to just keep climbing up the table... playing and bursting the balloons that the waiters gave him... he had a blast and there was not even a hint of sleep in his eyes... he slept only at 10:45 when we started back.... though it was really tough for us to manage... but he enjoyed :)
Seeing this we got courage and went for a dinner again on Saturday evening he he and this time he crawled all over the restaurant floor and made friends with the waiters... and then to my surprise did something which I have seen happening only once or twice before that too when he was very young... slept himself... ya he just came to me I picked him up and made him sit between myself and hubby and he lied... started eating his teether... singing loori for himself to everyone's delight in the restaurant and slept... cute isnt it?

Day Care Confusions
Ojas' current nanny has suddenly vanished as I posted in my blog... So I am totally in a helpless condition... life has come to a standstill... I am not finding another maid too and then their are issues of Ojas adjusting etc... also at the same time we are wondering whether we should put him in a day care... any inputs on how young was ur child when he started going to a day care? Is it a good idea to send a 10-month old to a day care...

Finally after thinking long back that a teeth has come for him long back in May and then it disappearing and the doc saying that it was milk gland :) Ojas has finally got one teeth now...
off late it was a joke in our house that he is teething as he seemed to be displaying all the symptoms since past 6 months... but finally he has stopped being a budha baba and got one teeth :)
